HMRC Update
The Chancellor announced at Budget 2021 that the temporary reduced rate of 5% will be extended to 30 September 2021.
From 1 October 2021 the reduced rate for these supplies will be replaced by the introduction of a new reduced rate of VAT of 12.5% which will remain in effect until 31 March 2022.

How to…
The below instructions can be followed to change the system VAT rates on Casio V-R7000 and V-R200 touch screen terminals. The example shown is how to change the VAT rate to 12.5%. Please note that if you use Casio Cloud then VAT rate changes should be made online instead, and sent to the tills. Click here for alternative instructions.

Logon to the till with Managers access
Select Mode> Settings> REG Settings

Go To Feature tab then ‘Tax Master’

Find and Edit your existing 5% VAT rate. If one doe not exist select ‘New’ and ensure it is configured as below

Ensure your required items have the correct VAT rate applied

Change VAT Code 1 to the new VAT rate
